Summary: As plague ravages the overcrowded Earth, observed by a ruthless lunar people, Cinder, a gifted mechanic and cyborg, becomes involved with handsome Prince Kai and must uncover secrets about her past in order to protect the world in this futuristic take on the Cinderella story.     

Who will like it: If you like fairytales and/or dystopian novels this is perfect for you.

Who will like it: People who like books about secrecy.

Series: The Hunger Games

Author: Suzanne Collins

Summary: In a future North America, where the rulers of Panem maintain control through an annual televised survival competition played to the death, sixteen-year-old Katniss’s skills are put to the test when she voluntarily takes her younger sister’s place.     

Why I picked it: The world Suzanne Collins creats and her characters are very realistic.

Who will like it: Everybody! I typically hate action books but LOVED this series.

Who will like it: Those who like to read a story from all angles. Readers who are interested in seeing how different societies work.

Summary: In a distant future, eighteen-year-old Lugh is kidnapped, and while his twin sister Saba and nine-year-old Emmi are trailing him across bleak Sandsea they are captured, too, and taken to brutal Hopetown, where Saba is forced to be a cage fighter until new friends help plan an escape and help her find her brother.

Who will like it: If you liked the Hunger Games you will love this! Plus, anyone who likes adventure stories and to discover new worlds will enjoy this.
