Title:  Dash and Lily’s Book of Dares

Author: Rachel Cohn & David Levithan

Summary: Told in the alternating voices of Dash and Lily, two sixteen-year-olds carry on a wintry scavenger hunt at Christmas-time in New York, neither knowing quite what–or who–they will find.    

Who will like it: This is a great book for readers who really like to get to know their characters. Also good for those who like anticipating how inevitable scenes will play out.

Summary: Nineteen-year-old returning champion Sean Kendrick competes against Puck Connolly, the first girl ever to ride in the annual Scorpio Races, both trying to keep hold of their dangerous water horses long enough to make it to the finish line. 

Who will like it: If you like horses or understand the deep friendship you can have in a pet then this book is for you. Also, if you like girls who have guts then you will like it.

Summary: The story of three girls’ lives at the turn of the century. Gossip Girl meets the 1900s. Drama, mystery, and a four-part series. You will fall in love with the characters located in old New York City on the upper East Side. 

Why I picked it: 1900’s historical drama

Who will like it: Teenage girls and adult women who like to read drama.
