What if I do not live in Bryan or College Station?
If you have a photo ID and proof of residence within Brazos County, you are qualified for a free library card. If you live in one of our surrounding counties (Burleson, Grimes, Leon, Madison, Milam, Robertson, or Washington), you can get an out-of-county card for $24 per year. If you do not live within one of those counties, we recommend getting a TexShare Card from your home library. On your first visit with a TexShare Card, you should bring your photo ID, home library card, and TexShare Card. You can use your TexShare Card to get a Bryan+College Station Public Library System card that has some restrictions (5-item limit, no interlibrary loans). Contact a librarian if you have questions.
Can I get a card for my child/children?
Yes. Children applying for library cards must be accompanied by a parent or guardian with acceptable identification. Children must be able to write their complete name.
