LJRL Animé Club (Ringer Library, College Station, 2/27/14)

The LJRL Animé Club usually meets the last Thursday of every month (earlier some months due to holidays) from 3:45 - 5:30 PM at Larry J. Ringer Library. Teens can watch free animé videos rated PG or TV-14. Contact Kendra for more information or to suggest videos. Our next meeting is today, Thursday, February 27, 2014. Teen Advisory Board informational meeting (Ringer Library, College Station, 2/27/14)

TONIGHT, Thursday, February 27, 2014 (LJRL) - Larry J. Ringer Library will be holding an informational meeting about starting a Teen Advisory Board and Tween Advisory Board. If you are a teen or tween (intermediate school, middle school, or high school student) and are interested in helping plan events for teens and tweens, come to tonight's meeting and/or contact Kendra at (979) 764-3416 or email kperkins@bryantx.gov.

LJRL Teen Book Club (Ringer Library, College Station, 3/5/14)

The LJRL Teen Book Club meets from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. on the first Wednesday of the month in Larry J. Ringer Library's front meeting room. Come see our newest teen books and have some free refreshments. If you have any questions, contact Kendra at (979) 764-3416. The next Teen Book Club meeting will be on Wednesday, March 5.

Scribes & Sketchers (Mounce Library, Bryan)

Scribes & Sketchers was so popular this summer that the Mounce Library is extending the program into the fall, meeting every second Friday of the month. Don’t worry if you didn’t get a chance to participate this summer; you can get started now. So if you are a writer or an artist and looking for a like-minded group to help get you to the next level, this is the place to be. Stick with it through next summer, and you could have your work published! Snacks will be provided. Bring your work and a good attitude with you. Author Visit - Rachel Caine

Tuesday, February 11, 2014 - Texas author Rachel Caine visted Ringer Library on Tuesday, February 11, 2014, as part of a book tour to promote her new book The Prince of Shadows, which is a retelling of Romeo and Juliet from Benvolio's point of view. Rachel Caine is the author of the award-winning Morganville Vampire series.

Mounce Renovation

The Mounce Library's second floor was recently renovated. Contact the Youth Services department or stop by to find out what's changed.

Young Adult Reading Blog

The YA Reading Blog has recommendations of some of the latest and greatest YA books. Want to review a book that you just read and have your recommendation on the blog? Talk with Sam Matush at the Mounce Public Library in downtown Bryan, or call 979.209.5615, or email smatush@bryantx.gov.
