Teen & Middle Grade Authors event

On Saturday, November 8th (10 AM - 12 PM) and Sunday, November 9th (2-4 PM), we will be hosting an event for teen and tween aspiring authors and for adult authors who write for teen and middle grade audiences. This will be a chance to talk about your books and about other teen and middle grade fiction. In general, we will have panel discussions where people in the audience can ask a question to the whole group. We will have some door prize drawings for items that the authors are donating. Book signings are allowed; contact Kendra if you are an author who would like to be added to the event's description.

So far, we have two authors confirmed for Saturday and three for Sunday. On Saturday, we have local authors Laura Anderson Kurk (teen fiction) and Connie Peck (middle grade fiction about ponies). On Sunday, we have Houston author Rose Garcia (teen supernatural fiction) and local authors Connie Peck (middle grade pony books) and Molly Blaisdell (author of the teen/adult eBook Plumb Crazy and some books for younger readers). We have copies of the authors' books (except the eBook) available to check out or put on hold, and we have some books about writing. These books and little summaries about the authors are currently on a display near the front desk. For more information about this event, contact Kendra at kperkins@bryantx.gov or (979) 764-3416.
