It’s a new summer program at the Bryan Public Library where teens (at least 13 years old) can write or illustrate their own book and have it published! You can publish any kind of book that you can create in one summer...children’s picture book, short story, comic book, book of art, poetry, etc. If a Scribe and a Sketcher want to team-up that would be even better!

Brazos Writers: Crime 101 workshop (LJRL) Event Details

This mini-workshop on crime, police procedures, and the art of mystery writing will present perspectives from experts on the front lines of law enforcement and mystery writing.

Lt. Allan Baron and Det. Donny Ohana with the Texas A&M Police Department will discuss several high-profile cases and what it’s like to be on the front lines of law enforcement.

Reavis Z. Wortham, award-winning author of the Red River mystery series, will share insights into the world of mystery writing, lessons learned along the way and advice on the writing life.

We have a volunteer who will be providing one-on-one computer help on Monday evenings from 7 to 8 p.m. These sessions will be held in one of the computer rooms or in one of the group study rooms.

LJRL Animé Club Event Details

The LJRL Animé Club meets once a month (usually on the last Thursday of the month) to watch animé, Japanese animation. The videos we will be watching will be rated PG or TV-14. The audience will decide whether we are watching videos dubbed into English (English audio) or subtitled (Japanese audio).
