Starts May 30 Children up to age 11 (grades 6 and under) (Ages 12-19 and/or entering grades 7-12: Teen Summer Reading Club) Milk & Cookie Morning @ the Library! Saturday, May 31, 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM Start off the summer with fun by joining us in welcoming the Southwest Diary Farmers' Mobile Classroom to the library! Pick up your summer reading club game board, see Bessie the cow, and have some milk and cookies courtesy of HEB. |

Trucks provided by Prater Equipment Co., Boyd's Ready Mix, Scarmardo Food Service, the City of Bryan, and more. Snakes Alive! Wed., June 11, 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM Snakes! @ at the Library?? Yes, but don't worry. Don Plitt, assistant director of Environmental Health Services of the Brazos County Health Department will make sure the snakes don't slither out of the library meeting room! Do snakes like to read books? Storyteller Robbin Major: Interactive Storytelling Wed., June 18, 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM Robbin Major will take you on an interactive storytelling journey through the decades from 1958-2008. Expect puns and plenty of fun! Texas Reds Kids Zone!** Sat., June 21, 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM Come experience the awesome interactive performance of Rhythmweb at 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM on the Kids Zone Stage!
Wed., June 25, 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM This fun-filled, interactive musical storytelling program by Austin recording artist Kim Lehman combines stories, props, music, and puppets. Learn to play the spoons, listen to a musical story about a frog, and laugh at the silliness of a very talkative monkey. Funded in part by the Texas Commission on the Arts. |

Police Dogs K-9 Unit Wed., July 9, 9:30 AM - 11:00 AM Police dogs are a police officer's best friend! Sergeant Swartzlander will demonstrate how brave Rudi, a highly trained Belgian Malinois dog, assists with criminal apprehension, narcotics detection, searching, tracking, and article recovery. Read-a-thon Wed., July 16, 9:30 AM - 11:30 AM Get caught up on your reading game boards! Come in the morning to the library, hang out, and D.E.A.R (Drop Everything And Read)! Closing Ceremony Wed., July 23, 11:00 AM Celebrate your reading achievements with storytelling, balloons, and fun!
