Brazos Valley Reads 2010
The Brazos Valley Reads (BVR) program was initiated by the Texas A&M University English
Department. The goal of this program is simple: unite the entire community with one book. The 2010
book is The Woman Warrior: Memoirs of a Girlhood Among Ghosts by Maxine Hong Kingston.
This year's reading will be Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at 7:00 PM at the Bryan Civic

Spring Book Sale - April 24-25, 2010
The Friends of the Bryan + College Station Public Library System have a semiannual book sale in the
spring and fall at the Clara B. Mounce Public Library. The spring sale will be

Join us on the First Friday of each month
celebrating the Revitalization of Downtown Bryan. The Friends hosted a paperback book sale on the front steps
of the Carnegie Center, from 5 to 8 p.m. while the Carnegie was closed.
"Big Rigs" Summer Reading Program Kickoff - June 2, 2010
The Clara B. Mounce Public Library will kickoff this year's Summer Reading Program
on June 2, 2010, with an event to remember. Come see the "big rigs" of the city including trucks, fire engines,
police motorcycles, and more.

Book Donations
Donations of books are also being accepted. Drop boxes are available at both the Clara B. Mounce and
Larry J. Ringer Libraries. Books must be in good condition.
