Volunteer Opportunities

If you are interested in volunteering, please speak with a branch manager or the Library Director. At Ringer Library (College Station), contact Hilary at (979) 764-3416 if you are an adult who is interested in volunteering. If you are interested in helping with ESL classes, contact Bobbee at (979) 209-5616 (Mounce Library).

All volunteers must fill out the City of Bryan volunteer application.

If you would like to volunteer to help with one of the Friends of the Library book sales, please contact the Friends of the Library.

All teens who are interested in volunteering will need to fill out a Teen Advisory Board application (7th-12th grade), and everyone must also fill out the City of Bryan volunteer application and Volunteer Emergency Contact Form. All volunteers under age 18 must also fill out a Minor Work Release form, and all volunteers under age 16 must fill out a Check In – Check Out Waiver. The Minor Work Release form and the Under 16 Check In – Check Out Waiver must be signed in front of a notary. Our manager is a notary, and there are some others at our other locations and at the City of Bryan (also at banks, etc.).

Teens going into 9th-12th grade may apply for Ringer Library’s summer teen Job Skills Training program. Applications will be available starting March 1, 2018. Pick up an application, fill it out, and return it to Youth Services between March 1 and April 30. There is a mandatory orientation. For more information, contact Cindy at the Youth Services desk, (979) 764-3416.

Contact Elaine at (979) 209-5616 for more details about volunteering at Mounce Library, and contact Cindy at (979) 764-3416 for more information about volunteering at Ringer Library. If you are 18 or 19, you will need to fill out an adult application and talk with Hilary at Ringer Library or Bobbee at Mounce Library.
