The Children’s Catalog is designed to help children find their own books and other library materials. Children can search by author, title, or keywords. There are also helpful subject guides to help children find exactly what they want to read.
Due to coronavirus guidelines, we are not currently holding storytimes in the library.
Mounce Library is adding prerecorded storytimes, songs, puppets, etc. to a Facebook playlist.
Both Mounce Library and Ringer Library are also doing some live storytimes over Zoom. For more information or to sign up, email email@example.com for Mounce (Bryan) or firstname.lastname@example.org for Ringer (College Station), or call the Youth Services desk at Mounce (979-209-5600) or Ringer (979-764-3416).
See a schedule of upcoming storytimes and other events at https://www.bcslibrary.org/events/. The box above the month allows you to search. Type in storytime to see upcoming storytimes, or type in children to see all upcoming children’s events. You can select the calendar view that you prefer (pinboard, agenda, or monthly) if you are on a computer; if you are on a phone, the format is pre-set.
Come visit the Library with your school! Our primary goal for class visits is to develop and nurture children’s lifelong love of reading, literature, and the library. You must make a reservation for a class visit. Schools and day cares can schedule class visits. Contact Jenny or Elaine at (979) 209-5600 to schedule a class visit at Mounce Library in Bryan. Contact Michelle at (979) 764-3416 to schedule a class visit at Ringer Library in College Station.
Homework help is currently cancelled at both Ringer and Mounce libraries.
The next book fair date is to be determined. For information about the Friends of the Library’s biannual book sales, see www.friendsbcs.org.
