Ringer Library was officially closed for construction on Monday, Nov. 5, and will remain closed until the first week of June 2019.
During these seven months of work, exterior walls will be demolished, concrete and structural steel will be installed, new walls will be constructed and full renovation of restrooms will occur. The complete closure of the library not only ensures the safety of the public and library staff, but also allows the expansion project to finish in time for summer 2019 programming at the library.
During the closure, go to Mounce Library in Downtown Bryan to pick up holds, and to check out and return items. Starting Nov. 5, you can also return items to the CSISD Administration Building. There will be boxes by the CSISD front desk receptionist’s desk. To return items at CSISD, go inside CSISD Administration Building, Main Entrance, Door 1 during CSISD hours, Monday-Friday, 8 AM to 4:30 PM. Recent construction photos show metal framework for the new entrance, the outdoor reading area, and the beginnings of the circle drive parking lot reconstruction.
