Renovation and expansion of the Larry J. Ringer Public Library will enter a new phase next week, requiring the building’s main entrance to close.
Beginning Wednesday, Aug. 1, the library’s entrance will be moved from the library’s west side to the south side, where it will remain until further notice.
This new phase of work includes drilling additional piers, pouring concrete and erecting structural steel beams.
While the parking lot will remain open, additional parking is available nearby at First Baptist Church. Patrons are urged to obey the signage that directs safe passage from parking areas to the building.
Normal library hours will continue, unless otherwise posted by library staff.
