Sherry Garland is the award-winning author of 32 books for children and teens. As a fifth generation Texan, many of her books are set in The Lone Star State. Other books focus on the Vietnamese culture due to her close association with Vietnamese families in the Houston area for twenty years. Ms. Garland especially loves American history and is the creator of the Voices of History series for Pelican Publishing. She speaks at schools across the USA and has traveled to four Asian countries to speak at International schools.

The Bryan+College Station Public Library System currently carries 12 of her books.
