Volunteer Opportunities

Adults

If you are interested in volunteering, please speak with a branch manager or the Library Director. Note: Ringer Library is currently closed due to construction and is scheduled to reopen in June 2019.

All volunteers must fill out the City of Bryan volunteer application.

If you would like to volunteer to help with one of the Friends of the Library book sales, please contact the Friends of the Library.

Teens

All teens who are interested in volunteering will need to fill out a Teen Advisory Board application (7th-12th grade), and everyone must also fill out the City of Bryan volunteer application and Volunteer Emergency Contact Form. All volunteers under age 18 must also fill out a Minor Work Release form, and all volunteers under age 16 must fill out a Check In – Check Out Waiver. The Minor Work Release form and the Under 16 Check In – Check Out Waiver must be signed in front of a notary. Some of our staff are notaries; please ask if you need one to make sure you are at the library when one is available.

Teens going into 9th-12th grade may apply for Ringer Library’s summer teen Job Skills Training program. Applications will be available in late spring 2019. There will be a mandatory orientation. For more information, contact Jessica Jones at (979) 209-5600.

Contact Elaine at (979) 209-5616 for more details about volunteering at Mounce Library. If you are interested in volunteering at Ringer Library after it reopens, check with us in spring 2019 about paperwork. If you are 18 or 19, you will need to fill out an adult application and talk with Hilary at Ringer Library or Bobbee at Mounce Library.
