This year’s Summer Art Contest proudly embraces the theme “Color Our World: ¡Colorea Nuestro Mundo!” Participants will have the chance to vote for the top artwork in each age category at every location. Artwork submissions will be accepted from July 1 to 15, with creations dating no earlier than June 1, 2025. For a full list of rules please go to our Summer Reading Program page.

Grand Prize Art Contest Winner
The Grand Prize Winner will be selected by library staff and notified by August 11. All age category winners will be eligible.
The winning artwork will be featured on the 2026 Brazos Valley Children’s Literary Festival t-shirt, themed “Open a Book, Open a World.” The winner will receive a t-shirt and be recognized at the Festival. Save the date: April 11, 2026!
