A new and exciting way to read books is coming to the Bryan + College Station Public Library System – VOX Books!
VOX Books provide multi-sensory reading experiences that allow the reader to listen to audio of a book as they read along. VOX Books are durable, rechargeable, and are offered in multiple languages. Any patrons who have a BCS library card will be able to borrow these new books from Clara B. Mounce Public Library, where the collection will be housed.
We will host a celebratory kickoff carnival for the collection at Mounce Library, on Jan. 27 from 1 – 3 p.m. There will be kid-friendly games, stories, snacks, and a photo area to take pictures with Jack Frost (who you may know from KBTX!).
We would like to thank the Rotary Club of College Station for their generous grant to the BCS Library System in support of their Rotary And Reading initiative (ROAR). Without their assistance, this new and innovative VOX Books program would not be possible.
