
The League of American Bicyclists declared the month of May as National Bike Month in 1956 with the goal being to encourage people to ride bikes and promote the benefits of cycling. Celebrate National Bike Month by attending one or more of the following programs!
How to Grocery Shop on a Bike
Are you interested in using your bicycle more to run errands or pick up groceries? Get started by attending this workshop. Learn about the different types of bags you can use to attach to your bike to start using your bike to go shopping.

Fix a Flat Bike Clinic
Aggieland Cycling will teach you how to repair a bicycle flat tire, the most common mechanical breakdown, including how to remove the wheel from a bike, dismount the tire and tube, inspect the tire for damage, and install a new tube. We will also cover patching and tubeless tires. Participants are encouraged to bring their own bikes to work on!

Bike to Work Fueling Station
Bike commuters are encouraged to stop by and say hello. Snacks and drinks will be available!

Lowrider Bike Show
Come out and see all the customized bikes that embrace the lowrider car culture! Lowrider bikes are embellished with a lot of chrome, velvet, customized paint jobs, and handlebars.

Ladies Bike Maintenance Clinic
It is a chance to get your bike checked and learn basic maintenance skills from an experienced bike mechanic from Aggieland Cycling. Participants are encouraged to bring their own bikes to work on! This class is for women and teenage girls.
