Celebrate National Bike Month with the BCS Library System

In 1956, the League of American Bicyclists declared the month of May as National Bike Month. The goal of National Bike Month is to encourage people to ride bikes and highlight the many benefits of riding a bike. Celebrate National Bike Month by attending one or more of the following programs!

Bike to Work Fueling Station

Bike commuters are encouraged to stop by and say hello. Snacks and drinks will be available!

  • When: Friday, May 17 from 7 – 9 a.m.
  • Where: Hensel Park in College Station
The bike refueling station hosted by the BCS Library System.

Fix a Flat Bike Clinic

Aggieland Cycling will demonstrate how to repair a flat tire and install a new tube. Feel free to bring your bike.

  • When: Saturday, May 18 from 2 – 4 p.m.
  • Where: Larry J. Ringer Library Meeting Room

Lowrider Bike Show

Come out and see all the customized bikes that embrace the lowrider car culture! Lowrider bikes are embellished with a lot of chrome, velvet, customized paint jobs, and handlebars.
