E-Read Texas & Boundless – November 2025 Update
Access to Boundless will stop in December 2025
Here’s What You Need to Know
Due to the unexpected closure of Baker & Taylor (book vendor for the program), the last day to check out items in Boundless will be midnight December 1, 2025. This will allow a full 14-day checkout period for all items before the app goes down on December 15, 2025.
The Texas State Library and Archives Commission (TSLAC) is exploring all options to move the E-Read Texas program to another vendor, but a new app likely won’t be available until March 2026 at the earliest.
This means there will be about two months with no e-book/audiobook access through the E-Read Texas program. Checkout history, wish lists, and holds will not transfer from Boundless to the new app (that will be determined later), so please make a note of what you have on your lists if you want to retain this information.
As always, Bryan + College Station Public Library System continues to provide streaming access through OverDrive/Libby, Hoopla, and Kanopy.
