E-Read Texas is a statewide program for select public libraries in Texas. It is funded in part by a grant from the US Institute of Museum and Library Services to the Texas State Library and Archives Commission. The program provides eligible libraries with a collection of over 20,000 eBooks and audiobooks, accessible online or through the mobile app.

What is CloudLibrary?
CloudLibrary is a digital lending platform used to provide patrons with access to eBooks and audiobooks. The app offers easy-to-use features for patrons such as web reader, Kindle Fire compatibility, CarPlay and Android Auto, ability to preview e-books and audiobooks before checkout and more display options for e-books.
How do I access CloudLibrary?
- On the computer, visit us at at the BCS Public Library login page. Select Sign in and enter your Library Card ID and PIN.
- On your mobile device, download the CloudLibrary mobile app and follow these easy steps:
- Select your language
- Select your Country (United States) and State (Texas)
- Select your library from the list (Bryan & College Station Public Library System)
- Accept the user agreement
- Enter your 14-digit library card number and 4-digit PIN and tap Login
- You can search for and check out eBooks & audiobooks

What is Kids Mode and how do I turn it on?
Kids Mode in CloudLibrary is a setting that creates a safe, child-friendly experience by limiting content to age-appropriate books and simplifying browsing for young readers. Once enabled, the app will automatically filter to show only age-appropriate content for kids. Available only through the mobile app.
How to Turn on/off Kids Mode in CloudLibrary
- Open the app and sign in with your library card
- Select “Account” icon on bottom right ofthehomepage
- Find “Kids Mode” (next to an owl icon) and Toggle it ON/OFF
- Enter a passcode to lock Kids Mode
What is the checkout period and borrowing limits?
The checkout period is 14 days. Patrons may borrow up to 15 items at a time and place up to 5 holds.
